But I can't imagine you stumbled through bleary-eyed early morning looking for the black suit and the black leggings without the runs! Surely, some advance notice for the breakfast meeting was given? Or was it a late night, the previous night? But sooo nice, the infiltrator bit. Heads must have swiveled when you spoke ( any nice guys at all?) and you didn't spill the coffee or drop the pound cake, vow! And master stroke dropping the Crotchett name. It would be great if we could get some reactions from all the other attendees, Wall Street et al, about this handsome infiltrator, impeccably turned out, and who impressed the Rodale ceo, oh sooo much! On my scale of 10, you score 8. What a lovely piece, Lynne! But I can’t imagine you stumbled through bleary-eyed early morning looking for the black suit and the black leggings without the runs! No harm there, I suppose. It sounds to me -- especially having been a beneficiary of your kindness and generosity -- that you oversell this "wicked witch" and "contrarian outsider" persona. You impress me as energetic, intelligent, and full of ideas -- but edgy, wicked, dangerous, an outsider? Hardly. I'm delighted to learn after reading this that you are not only a marketing guru but a very witty and accomplished writer. Very visual piece. Thank you for posting it.
